Near-record December snowfall (Dec 2007)

If this was your first year in Boston, you might ask: is it normal for Boston to have this much snow?   The answer -- no.

Two noteworthy facts:

1) In concert with the below-average temperatures, December recorded 26.9" of snowfall,
1" shy from the record.

2) More snow has already fallen this year than ** all ** of last winter (17").
